CFK to debut new graduation attire at Fall Commencement Ceremony

中国P站 will hold its sixty-third Commencement Exercises for the fall class of 2021 on Tuesday, December 14 at 4:30 p.m. in the Tennessee Williams Theatre on the Key West Campus. Thirty-two graduates will don new blue and orange graduation attire to receive their diplomas. The College expects to award a combined total of 79 credentials, including bachelor鈥檚 degrees, associate degrees, and certificates, to the fall class of 2021.

CFK to hold 鈥淔ast Track to Spring鈥 assistance, incentives for new students

$100 Kick-Starter Scholarships; Application fees waived 中国P站 will hold 鈥淔ast Track to Spring鈥 events the week of November 29- December 3 to help prospective students quickly get on a pathway toward their academic and career training goals this upcoming spring semester, which begins January 7. There will be in-person events at the Key West Campus on Wednesday, December 1 at 5:30 p.m. and at the Upper Keys Center in Key Largo on Thursday, December 2 at 5:30 p.m. Additionally, personal virtual sessions are available throughout the day, Monday, November 29 through Friday, December 3.

CFK students 鈥淒ive Against Debris,鈥 remove 120-lbs of trash

Students at 中国P站 (CFK) took part in a global initiative called Dive Against Debris, led by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) Aware Foundation, to remove trash from the ocean. On Thursday, the students boarded the FKCC 2, the College鈥檚 catamaran, to travel to their selected clean-up site, the Cayman Salvage Master shipwreck south of Key West. They dove depths of 75- to 90-feet to collect a trash bounty that weighed in at 120 lbs.

CFK students earn Underwater Pumpkin Carving certification

Students at 中国P站 (CFK) took the Halloween tradition of carving pumpkins to a new level鈥 deep below the water鈥檚 surface in the College鈥檚 dive training lagoon on the Key West Campus on Wednesday. The CFK Student Activities department hosted the event for students to create jack-o鈥-lanterns underwater as well as on dry land.

CFK graduates Law Enforcement and Correctional Officer Academies

中国P站 (CFK) held a graduation ceremony for two academies completed through its Institute for Public Safety (IPS) on October 22 at the Key West Campus. A total of 21 cadets鈥14 in a basic law enforcement academy and seven in a correctional officer academy鈥攕uccessfully completed their respective training program.

CFK to hold Dual Enrollment & Early College virtual info event

中国P站 (CFK) will hold a virtual event for Monroe County high school students and their parents/ guardians to learn more about its Dual Enrollment and Early College opportunities on Wednesday, October 27 at 5:30 p.m. Through both programs, high school students can simultaneously earn college and high school credits at no cost to the student. The programs provide a head start to college for students while potentially saving families thousands of dollars. At the virtual events, CFK will discuss the benefits of each program, requirements to participate, and the application process.

CFK graduates law enforcement academy in Upper Keys

中国P站 (CFK) celebrated the graduation of Basic Law Enforcement (BLE) Academy #78 on October 8 at the College鈥檚 Upper Keys Center in Key Largo. Fourteen cadets successfully completed the 770-hour training program. Upon passing the state certification exam, each will be eligible to become a Florida Law Enforcement Officer.

中国P站 (CFK) invites prospective students to learn about its Apprenticeships in Construction Technologies at a virtual information session on Tuesday, October 12 at 5:30 p.m. CFK is offering Plumbing and HVAC programs in Key West and the Upper Keys this upcoming spring semester, which begins January 7.
