Learn about CFK's Construction Apprenticeships at virtual event

中国P站 (CFK) invites prospective students to learn about its Apprenticeships in Construction Technologies at a virtual information event on Wednesday, May 15 at 5:30 p.m. CFK is offering Electrical and Carpentry programs in Key West and the Upper Keys this upcoming fall semester, which begins August 19. The deadline to apply is July 1.

Celebrate the arts at CFK with Mud-Pi Dinner and Student Art Show on April 24

中国P站 (CFK) welcomes the community to celebrate the arts at two annual events on Wednesday, April 24 at the Key West Campus. Attendees are invited to start with the Mud-Pi Dinner, 4- 6 p.m., in the Ceramics Studio, featuring savory tastings created by culinary students and served in unique bowls created by ceramics students. Afterwards, attendees can head to the Student Art Show, which runs from 5 to 7 p.m. and features a range of art created by students over the past year.

College invites community to CFK Poetics

中国P站 (CFK) invites the community to attend its CFK Poetics event on April 18 at 5 p.m. at the Tennessee Willliams Theatre on the Key West Campus. The annual visiting poets activity will feature a live reading from acclaimed poet Lauren K. Alleyne. She will read some of her work and take questions from the audience. The event is free for all attendees.

CFK鈥檚 VIP Series focuses on the National Marine Sanctuary

中国P站 continues its 2024 VIP Series with 鈥淪tate of the National Marine Sanctuary鈥 on Thursday, April 18 at 7 p.m. in the Tennessee Williams Theatre on the Key West Campus. The presentation will be led by Sarah Fangman, the Superintendent of the 中国P站 National Marine Sanctuary. In its tenth season, the College鈥檚 VIP Series invites the community to learn from the Views, Ideas, and Perspectives of speakers of local, regional, and national prominence. The 2024 season includes presentations that focus on timely topics relevant to Keys鈥 audiences.

CFK announces Vice President of Academic Affairs

中国P站 (CFK) welcomes Dr. Monekka Munroe as the Vice President of Academic Affairs. She will start full-time with the College in May. A member of CFK鈥檚 senior leadership team and Chief Academic Officer, Dr. Munroe will lead the academic affairs division, which includes the academic divisions of Arts and Hospitality, Marine Science and Technology, and Sciences and Nursing, as well as Student Success Services and the Learning Resource Center.

CFK to hold virtual info event on Dual Enrollment

中国P站 (CFK) will hold a virtual event for Monroe County high school students and their parents/ guardians to learn more about its Dual Enrollment opportunities on Wednesday, April 10 at 5:30 p.m. Through Dual Enrollment, high school students can simultaneously earn college and high school credits at no cost to the student. The program provides a head start to college for students while potentially saving families thousands of dollars. At the virtual event, CFK will discuss the benefits of taking Dual Enrollment classes, requirements to participate, and the application process.

Tickets on sale for 鈥淎 Roaring Good Time Speakeasy鈥

中国P站 (CFK) Foundation invites the community to 鈥淎 Roaring Good Time Speakeasy鈥 on Friday, April 19, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Tennessee Williams Theatre. The first annual event will offer partygoers food, drinks, entertainment, auctions, and more. Tickets are $75. Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the CFK Academy, the College鈥檚 new tuition-free public charter high school. Tickets and sponsorship packages are available on the College鈥檚 website at www.cfk.edu/roaring.

CFK scholarships available for summer & fall semesters

中国P站 encourages future and current students to apply for scholarships for the summer and fall semesters. Criteria for scholarships range widely to accommodate and assist a variety of students. Scholarship descriptions and criteria can be viewed on the College鈥檚 website at cfk.academicworks.com.

CFK Tugas shine at NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championship

中国P站' swim team showcased their talent, determination, and Tuga Pride at the NJCAA National Championships held at Indian River State College, March 6-9, 2024. CFK Athletic Director and Swim Coach Lori Bosco accompanied six swimmers to Fort Pierce to represent the College for the third time at a national championship since athletics was reintroduced to campus in 2020. The Tugas competed in a total of 17 individual races and two relay races. All athletes qualified to compete in their respective events based on times attained at previous meets in the current season. The Tugas鈥 performance was marked by outstanding achievements and personal bests across various events. The women's team secured an 11th place overall finish with a total of 20 points, while the men's team claimed 10th place overall with 45 points.
